The reason is that Gmail works with unencrypted sessions. With that users review their Gmail e-mail at an Internet café are exposed to someone else to obtain information from its inception, username and password.
But this is a very easy solution as the Gmail service includes support for SSL type. Therefore, the user can activate the feature by following these steps:
- Connect to your Gmail account.
- Click on the link "setup"
- In the tab "General" progress until you find "Connecting your browser" and select the "Always use https"
After this, all traffic through your Gmail account will be encrypted. The system will be secure and the user will only be sacrificing a minimum of performance due to the encryption procedure.
